A competency is a skill area that cuts across courses. Each is earned at three tiers (I Foundational, II Proficient, III Advanced) from the mastery you actually hold on this device, not seat time. Every tier issues a verified, signed certificate. If a path is what you do, a competency is what you can prove.
Seven competencies, three tiers each.
Tiers are read live from your mastery: I means you are familiar across the area, II adds retained proficiency, III is proficiency across nearly all of it. Mastery comes from passing labs and surviving their spaced reviews, so a tier cannot be grind-inflated.
